Black waterfalls cascade through my mind every night I'm set adrift
upon their churning waters
To places lost and vast
Forgotten lands from long past
Endless realm of mist
where time ceases to exist
Where the weary go
to forever lay their heads
The mournful call for their dead
Every morning I lie awake and wonder
when I'll see that place,
with open eyes locked onto
The water wake
The heavens shake
like a glacier falling
into a lake if ink,
Dark waves disrupt
this bleak tranquility,
I run my fingers
across the surface plane,
and feel the chill
of melancholic pain
With eyes locked on the water wake
the heavens shake,
they're trembling
There's nothing here inside this place
Just desolation
Every morning I lie awake and wonder
when I'll, see that place.
with open eyes locked onto
The water wake
The heavens shake
The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
